Yang Style Class Summary: Faux Finishing

We would like to thank Mrs. Siegel for all her time and effort and had a great time with our customers in learning about the different Faux Finishing techniques.

Mrs. Siegel shared with the class, some of her deep experience from over 19 years in the business. We had a great time learning from her past successes and multitude of projects.

She pointed out important Do’s and Don’ts of the trade, taught about the different material uses, their special properties, thorough instruction on how and where to best apply the many different techniques learned.

Here we are learning hands on the application of different techniques. We rolled up our sleeves, and got down and dirty. Students were able to experiment with different finishing techniques, such as two-toned sky application, marbling, wood grain pattern and more. All participants got to take home samples of their creations.

During each session, Mrs. Siegel found the time to answer individual questions of attendees who had personal home decoration projects that could put into practicality the application of these techniques.

Yang Style Map and Directions

Slide 9
Take the Airport Expressway to the BEIGAO/SHUNYI exit (Exit Nr.4). After passing through the tollbooth (5 ¥), turn right onto JING MI LU. (Alternately you can enter JING MI LU from the North 4th Ring and drive it all the way)
You will pass a VW store on your right and Beijing Riviera on your left side. Follow the course of the road for about 4 km and pass five traffic lights until the street forms a right-curve.
After the curve you can see a small blue sign with three directions to turn off. The middle one is Shun Huang Lu and points you to turn left. Directly at the turn there is another big, blue shield which reads “Tongli Bazar”, “Danshui Town Shopping Plaza” and “Gisca Exhibition”.
Right after turning left into Shun Huang Lu you will pass a Dalishi gas station on your left side which is colored in blue. Keep going down that street for another 1000 m, until you see a castle with a big yard and a water fountain in the middle on your right side.
Yang Style is located in the left wing of the building.
